17/02/2003 - Match news
Vale Juniors again lost out to the weather with the heavy overnight frost ruling Millburn unplayable. The pitch was in excellent order on Wednesday after being rolled, however children playing on the pitch on Friday had left the ground badly rutted leaving the referee no option but to call the game off.

The cancellation of all the fixtures means that this week's League Cup tie against Maryhill has had to be cancelled as the Lochburn Park side face Petershill in the 5th round of the OVD Scottish Junior cup. Instead Vale will play hosts to St. Roch's in the league, kick off at Millburn is 2pm. The sides met at Provanmill a month ago with Vale winning 3-0 thanks to goals from Ward, David Meechan and McKernan. Vale will be without the suspended McKernan and Rogers as well as Bryan Boal who is getting married.
